Scope:
Work under this contract consists of the replacement of Ontario County’s Pump Station 1N force main. Pump Station 1N is located near the southwest intersection of Fire Hall Road and Aroline Drive in the Town of Canandaigua. The work generally includes replacement of the existing buried forcemain, as well as modifications to the interior above-grade discharge piping; replacement of pump station instrumentation and controls; the installation of gravity sewer main and associated manholes; connection to an existing County manhole; and site grading and drainage improvements.
The Contractor’s attention is called to the importance of providing bypass pumping provisions during the duration of the improvements at the pump station.
The scope of this work includes, but is not limited to, the following:
· Bypass pumping during the construction of improvements at pump station;
· Demolition of existing piping, valves, and equipment within pump station valve vault;
· Replacement of existing pump control panel with PLC-based controls;
· Installation of approximately 1,693 linear feet of new 10-inch diameter HDPE force main using
horizontal directional drilling;
· Installation of approximately 462 linear feet of new 18-inch diameter PVC gravity sewer and
associated manholes;
· Installation of 6-inch magnetic flow meter within above-grade discharge piping;
· Installation of above-grade pump discharge piping and valving;
· Installation of new drainage structures, piping, and end sections;
· Restoration of all areas disturbed by construction;
· Provide, maintain, and remove temporary erosion and sediment control measures;
· Maintain and protect traffic for the duration of the project in conformance with NYSDOT and
MUTCD requirements;
The work includes all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, disposal, and performing all work in
accordance with these Contract Documents, Technical Specifications, and Contract Drawings.
