Project Scope
Work under this Contract consists of the replacement of the Tileyard Road over Flint Creek
Bridge (BIN 3318320) in the Town of Gorham, Ontario County, New York. The work includes
removal of the existing steel multi-girder bridge, excavation, construction of a new steel multigirder bridge, construction of integral abutments and wingwalls supported on piles, reconstruction of the highway, backfill and slope regrading, installation of bridge railing and box-beam guide railing, placement of stone fill and other incidental construction necessary for completion of the project.
Substantial Completion by June 28, 2024
NOTICE TO BIDDERS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the County of Ontario will receive sealed bids for Tileyard Road over
Flint Creek Bridge Replacement, P.I.N. 4ON0.06 (B22072). Such sealed bids must be filed with the Ontario
County Purchasing Director, 20 Ontario Street, Canandaigua, New York 14424, PRIOR TO 3:00 PM
prevailing time, Wednesday, July 12, 2023.
Bid forms, Drawings, and Specifications may be obtained at the office of the Ontario County Purchasing
Director at the above mentioned address only (Telephone: (585) 396-4442). Hard copies will be available for a
refunded deposit of $100.00 for the first set only (U.S. FUNDS). Electronic version will be available for a
refundable deposit of $50.00 for the first set only (U.S. FUNDS). Cross Sections will be provided in electronic
version (PDF files) only. Bidders requesting additional sets of documents must submit a separate non-refundable
check for $100.00 per each additional set of documents. Checks shall be made payable to the Ontario County
Treasurer. No bidder shall receive documents prior to receipt of a deposit by the Purchasing Department. No
bids shall be accepted from a vendor not submitting a deposit. Bidders requesting arrangements other than U.S.
Mail shall be responsible for making such arrangements and all associated costs. Deposits must be a check or
cash, no credit cards are accepted or copies of checks.
Each bid shall include Bid security in the amount of five (5%) percent of the total bid offered by the bidder.
Said bid security shall be in the form of a certified check, bond, or irrevocable line of credit and is required to be
included with the bid submittal.
Note: The County of Ontario shall not be held responsible for the completeness or accuracy of any bid
documents received by a bidder that were not directly issued to that bidder by the Ontario County Purchasing
Department.
Any bidder submitting a bid based on incomplete or inaccurate information resulting from documentation
received from any third party shall not have cause for relief from award or completion of a contract in
accordance with the official documents on file with the Ontario County Purchasing Department.
It is HIGHLY suggested that all bidders interested in participating in this bid, contact the Ontario County
Purchasing Department directly at the above address or telephone number to assure they have received the most
accurate and up to date material concerning this contract.
Amendments to the bid documents will be issued from the Purchasing Department to plan holders via email and
uploaded to the bid information webpage.
The County does not offer or supply anyone the list of people that have obtained a copy of these bid
specifications or cost estimates for the project prior to the opening of the bid. NO EXCEPTIONS ARE
MADE TO THIS POLICY.
This project includes a 5% DBE Participation Goal. There is also a EEO goals for Women (6.9%) and
Minorities (5.3%). There are no M/WBE or SDVOB goals for this project. There are no residence or
geographical restrictions.
Ontario County reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
