Summary of Specifications:
Sealed bids are requested for the use of vehicles and drivers for two shuttle services specified herein. The college reserves the right to use these contracted vehicles for any college transportation needs that arise, in a manner that is most beneficial for the college. With the exception of the Middletown-Newburgh shuttle service, the college further reserves the right to place passengers on vehicles supplied by another bidder, if it is in the best interest of the college.
New to the bid this year is a requirement that the awarded vendor has the ability to provide the College with the use of a white bus, school or some type of commercial, to be used for a bus wrap.
The number of students to be transported under this contract is estimated to be a maximum of forty-eight (48) per trip. If the actual number is less OCCC can cancel the contract, change the number of trips, or request a smaller vehicle, with a commensurate reduction in cost with 30 days’ notice. Orange County Community College, at its discretion, may furnish individual cards or badges to the pupils to be transported, and no one will be permitted to ride upon any bus without such card or badge.
