Putnam County is planning two (2) County-wide Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection Events, tentatively scheduled for May 1 2021 at Fahnestock State Park Canopus Beach parking lot, Event #2 will be on October 9, 2021 at the Fahnestock State Park Canopus Beach parking lot . The purpose of these events is to provide Putnam County residents, municipal governments, and various Departments of Putnam County that are conditionally exempt small quantity generators with an economical, convenient and environmentally sound disposal option for their unwanted or out-dated pesticides, fertilizers, solvents, oil based paints, etc. (No E-Waste).
