RFB-Food Service 061109 - Food Service Management Company

Summary of Specifications:
The purpose of this solicitation is to generate responses that will enable the Rochester City School District (the District) to award a contract to a Food Service Management Company (FSMC) for the management of the operation of the food service program. The District will retain all its current employees, including all Board of Education Non Teaching (BENTE) employees. It is the expectation that the FSMC will designate one individual to manage the District food service program. Additionally, the FSMC will provide the service of an accredited Dietician and one senior manager with food production experience. The FSMC will assume the responsibility for the efficient management of the food service program including purchasing, receiving, storing, setting up cafeteria lines, counter service, dining room service, clean-up, sanitation, training and supervising District personnel, and presenting food in a way to create optimum student participation. In addition, the FSMC will host one lean process continuous improvement event per year.
