The Rochester City School District (hereinafter “RCSD” of “District”) is seeking Proposals for a user-friendly, cloud-based, teacher evaluation software system that can be used to record, document, and gather observations and artifacts to enhance teacher evaluation process by providing specific high quality actionable feedback, resources, and models of implementation through embedded professional learning opportunities. We are looking for a tool that can help us not only capture the “what” of the evaluation but also the “how” of effective teaching and a tool that can track BOTH teacher performance AND teacher growth. We believe that a strong teacher evaluation system will help us to support our instructional leaders to conduct observations and provide timely, meaningful, growth focused feedback that will guide effective teacher practice and lead to improved student learning outcomes. We want to ensure that every child has access to a high quality learning experience in every classroom every day.
The District is seeking systematic capacity for potential future improvements and for accommodating changes in the evaluation process. Any such changes may be governed by union contractual agreements as well as state submission requirements.
