21-RFP-LLSUD - SCSD #1 Local Limits Study and Upgrade Development

Saratoga County, through its Purchasing Department, is requesting proposals from qualified engineers to develop and implement a plan to update the Saratoga County Sewer District No. 1’s (SCSD’s) Local Limits included in the District Industrial Pretreatment Program and Sewer Use Ordinance. The plan shall include determining influent loading, working with existing models to develop percent removals of the proposed upgraded facility, utilizing EPA guidance for the development of required parameters such as the maximum allowable head works loading (MAHL), and providing an editable spreadsheet SCSD can use in the future to determine if industrial loadings have changed significantly enough to
warrant another modification. SCSD currently treats wastewater from three (3) Categorical Industrial Users (CIU’s), two (2) Significant Industrial Users (SIU’s) and one (1) Industrial User (IU).
