RFB-DF-19-2012 - Rehab of Parking Aprons at Schenectady County Airport

Summary of Specifications:
The County of Schenectady will be accepting proposals for construction of the Rehabilitation of the Main & South General Aviation Aircraft Parking Aprons at the Schenectady County Airport, Glenville, New York. Work is to generally include the following items: 

Mill and overlay with asphalt concrete of the North General Aviation (GA) Apron, approximately 90,000 square feet. Work on the North GA Apron also includes crack routing and sealing, installation of underdrains along the pavement perimeters, mobilization, maintenance and protection of traffic, installation of new aircraft tie-downs and pavement marking and striping. 

Full depth reconstruction of the Main and South GA Aprons and connecting taxiway, approximately 235,000 square feet. Work includes excavation and removal of existing asphalt pavement and subbase materials, construction of new asphalt pavement including subbase, installation of underdrain, mobilization, maintenance and protection of traffic and pavement marking and striping. The work on this section also includes the expansion of Main GA Apron into an area that is currently turf.
