SANDERS ROAD (CR 38) CULVERT REPLACEMENT OVER WASHOUT CREEK
Notice is hereby given that the County of Schenectady will accept sealed bids for the
Sanders Road (CR 38) Culvert Replacement over Washout Creek Project (PIN 1762.09).
The Owner is the County of Schenectady and the work site is/are located in the Town of Glenville. The projects limits extend from: Beginning at Sanders Road intersection with Washout Road and extending 300 ft. east along Sanders Road. The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications.
No residential or geographical restrictions will be in effect for this project. Applicable Federal requirements take precedence over State and local requirements unless state and local requirements
are deemed to be more stringent.
Digital copies of Drawings and Specifications may be obtained from BidNet Direct at www.bidnetdirect.com/new-york or by submitting a request to the Purchasing Department at
purchasing@schenectadycountyny.gov. Paper copies may be picked up at the Purchasing Department, 2nd Floor, Schenectady County Office Building at 620 State Street, Schenectady,
New York, 12305 between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. weekdays, but must be requested via email 24 hours in advance.
No questions or inquiries regarding this Bid will be accepted within three (3) business days prior to the bid opening.
Bids to be considered must be received in a sealed envelope to the Schenectady County Purchasing Agent located at 620 State Street, 2nd Floor, Schenectady, NY 12305. Bids must be marked
“BID” annotated with
Sanders Road (CR 38) Culvert Replacement over Washout Creek Project, PIN 1762.09, RFB-2024-17 no later than
2:00 PM, May 23, 2024, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud

Woman and minority owned bidders are encouraged to submit proposals. Schenectady County is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer. The requirements of this contract have the following utilization goals and participation requirements: The MBE goal for this project is 8%, the WBE goal for this project is 15%, and the SDVOB goal for this project is 6%. The EEO Employment goals for this project are: 3.2% Minority Employment Goal and 6.9% Women Employment Goal.
The use of the NYSDOT approved civil rights reporting software, Equitable Business Opportunities (EBO), is required. Access authorization to EBO can be found at

The Bidder to whom the Contract is awarded will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds guaranteeing performance of work and prompt payment from an acceptable Surety Company
for an amount not less than 100% of the accepted bid. The successful Bidder and all subcontractors must have an approved CCA-2 on file with NYSDOT prior to being awarded a contract. If the
successful Bidder does not currently have a CCA-2 on file with NYSDOT, the Bidder may find the CCA-2 forms and instruction for completion online at
https://www.osc.state.ny.us/state-vendors/vendrep/vendor-responsibility-forms?redirect=legacy#Construction.
The County of Schenectady reserves the right to consider the bids for forty-five (45) days after receipt before awarding any Contract, and to waive any minor informalities in, and to reject, any and all bids. All bids are subject to final review and approval by the NYSDOT before any award of contract may be made. Receipt of bids by the County of Schenectady shall not be construed as authority to bind the County of Schenectady.
