2021-11 - Lead Based Paint Liability Insurance

The Schenectady Municipal Housing Authority owns and manages 943
federally subsidized public housing units for low-income families. The PHA performs all
of the functions of a private landlord, including leasing units, collecting rents,
maintaining the properties, and all of the other responsibilities related thereto.
Purpose: The purpose of this IFB is to request bids from qualified contractors for the
provision of Lead Based Paint Liability Insurance coverage, and to contract with one
insurance agent to obtain the insurance coverage outlined herein for the covered
locations listed below (See Attachment B for a comprehensive schedule of covered
locations):
- Schonowee Village, Hamilton & Millard Streets, Schenectady, NY 12305 (204 units)
- Lincoln Heights, Veeder Avenue Extension, Schenectady, NY 12305 (104 units)
- Steinmetz Homes, Henry & Watt Streets, Schenectady, NY 12304 (174 units)
