7791 - Installation of Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) Water Treatment Systems

                                                         NOTICE TO BIDDERS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:  That sealed proposals for installation of advanced oxidation process (AOP) water treatment systems at The Flower Hill Well Field  and Pump Station to Suffolk County Water Authority, Oakdale, Town of Islip, NY, will be received by the Purchasing Director of the Suffolk County Water Authority at 3525 Sunrise Highway, Great River, NY  11739, not later than 11:00 a.m., prevailing time, on September 8, 2021, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud.  In addition, Bids will be accepted electronically, prospective bidders have the opportunity to submit their bids via the following website: www.BidNetDirect.com/new-york.
Complete details and specifications relating to the proposed work are on file and publicly exhibited at the Purchasing Department of the Authority, 3525 Sunrise Highway, Great River, New York  11739, where copies of said documents may be obtained upon application.  You may also register your company on our website at www.scwa.com and/or www.empirestatebidsystem.com and request "More Info" on Contract No. 7791.
Whereas the Suffolk County Water Authority (Authority) has submitted an application for Water Infrastructure Investment Act (WIIA) funding, the attached specifications pertaining to required Davis-Bacon Act and MBE/WBE requirements are hereby made a part of this contract.  Bidders must comply with the terms as described in Contract 7791.  Bidders are required to submit the documentation required as per the Davis-Bacon Act and MBE/WBE; failure to submit the documentation will result in rejection of your bid.
The Authority will conduct a two-part mandatory pre-bid meeting on August 19, 2021.  The 1st part of the mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 AM by the SCWA Purchasing Department to discuss MWBE and other New York State requirements for this partially NYS grant-funded project.  This meeting will be accessible virtually, or may be attended in person at SCWA Engineering,  3525 Sunrise Highway, 2nd Floor, Great River, 11739.
The 2nd part of the mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the Flower Hill well field location at 1:00 PM.  The Flower Hill Road Well Field and Pump Station is located at 90 Flower Hill Road, Halesite NY, 11743.  The entrance to the site is approx. 750 feet South of Atlanta Drive, and immediately South of the Flower Hill Elementary School.
Prospective bidders are required to confirm their intent to attend by submitting an email to the Director of Purchasing: Marlon.Torres@scwa.com.  The Director will then send you an email with the information and link for you to join the meeting at the set time as noted above.  These meetings are mandatory, failure to attend will result in rejection of your Bid.
