The services shall include but not be limited to the provision of:
Assistance with research, development, and writing of federal, state, and foundation grants over a one-year period with an option to renew for three additional one-year terms.
Grants consulting services are sought for competitive federal, state and foundation grants. The College is looking for an experienced consultant with a successful track record in helping community colleges secure federal, New York State, and foundation grants. The consultant will provide primary grant writing services to the College, assist in all phases of the grants development process (planning, development, writing, competitive review, and submission of its applications), and serve as a resource to the Director of Institutional Advancement.
Working closely with the Director, and others from the college’s leadership team and faculty, the consultant is expected to play a lead role in writing and preparing the grant to which they are assigned.
The College will only consider proposers that have a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience assisting community colleges prepare competitive federal grant proposals. Consultants should have an advanced degree, preferably at the Ph.D. or Ed.D. level, with a significant record of accomplishment in the design, coordination, management, and preparation of numerous competitive federal grants, with preference to proposers that have had relevant experience in community college settings.
