Description

. SCOPE OF WORK:

The vendor who delivers the Occupational Safety & Health Administration training program is responsible for:

Effectively delivering instruction for the Occupational Safety & Health Administration and Site Safety Training outlined in Appendix A. Instruction may be delivered virtually or on-site as determined by the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs.
Provide a student-centered environment, conducive to learning and engagement.
Abide by all WEOC student-related policies and academic procedures relevant to maintaining an effective and positive classroom environment.
Submit a syllabus for review and approval at least three business days before the scheduled start date for the program.
Submit an attendance sign-in sheet for each day of instruction.
Provide copies of any and all credentials required for instructors by the U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Safety & Health Administration.
Supervise and assist students with completing the application for OSHA and SST cards.

The vendor/instructor is also required to:

take daily attendance and submit daily signed attendance sheets
provide all necessary instructional materials (books) to the students
provide OSHA and SST instructor credentials prior to the start of the program
submit the OSHA and SST certification cards earned by students to the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs

Course Title: OSHA30 Training

Course Description: This Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) General Industry Outreach Training course is a comprehensive safety training program designed for those working within general industry. The course design structure and content provides vital information for those working within general industry. This course meets OSHA standards to teach the potential of specific job hazards and how to prevent them from happening. This course provides essential information that helps safety committee members, forepersons, supervisors, superintendents, managers, competent persons, safety staff, safety managers, and others monitor workplace safety and implement OSHA health and safety regulations that apply to their workplaces.

Course Description: This course is designed to assist an individual in fulfilling the requirement when applying for a Site Safety Training Card. This course contains all current applicable NYC Construction Code references, current rules, policies, and bulletins as they pertain to fall prevention. New York City Local Law 196 of 2017 requires construction workers to complete the requisite hours in order to continue operating in New York City. This course is an awareness-level training only and does not provide any other qualification or authorization outside of the Site Safety Training card.
