WCC-24-001 - TO PROVIDE INSTRUCTION FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN (EMT) PROGRAM

The vendor who delivers the Emergency Medical Technician program is responsible for:

• Providing onsite Basic EMT instruction, preferably no longer than fifteen consecutive weeks, at Westchester EOC currently located at 26 South Broadway, Yonkers, NY, both theory and skills according to the NYS DOH curriculum.  Instruction must be scheduled during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• Providing a syllabus and a schedule for the Basic EMT curriculum stipulated by NYS Department of Health.

• Providing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation classes and delivering certification cards earned by students to the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs.

• Ensuring the requirements for clinical rotation are completed by the students at a site identified by and/or administered by the vendor.

• Communicating the students’ academic progress and concerns to designated WEOC Academic Affairs personnel. 

• Communicating the students’ attendance daily to designated WEOC Academic Affairs personnel.

• Supplying and using the required books and materials for the training.

• Providing reviews for the state exam.

• Submitting student data and course performance information to NYS DOH.
