Summary of Specifications:
The RFP is to secure professional services for driving paratransit vehicles, conducting safe & courteous passenger relations, securing wheelchairs, dispatching, scheduling trips, answering telephone inquiries, record-keeping, accounting and managing the ADA paratransit service. The successful Proposer will need to closely coordinate its operations with those of TCAT. The successful Proposer must fully comply with all New York State regulations to provide paratransit service as a common carrier in Tompkins County. Common carrier authority must be obtained from New York State before service could commence. Since Tompkins County will apply for state transit operating assistance for this service, the successful Proposer must comply with all necessary record keeping requirements.
