2017034 - Grit Screening & Sludge Disposal Transportation

The intent of this bid package is to provide the Town of Amherst (TOA) and the Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF) with transportation and disposal options. The primary mode for grit, screenings and sludge removal will be a private contractor with back up by the Town of Amherst. The intent of this bid is to award a transportation and disposal term contract and a transportation only term contract to remove grit, screenings and sludge generated from the WPCF on an as-needed basis, as directed/requested by the TOA WPCF. The successful bidder or bidders will have no claim to materials transported from the plant site other than for those determined by the plant staff to be excess or waste materials.
