202502 - Real Property Appraisal Services

The Town of Amherst (Town) is soliciting proposals from qualified real property appraisers to provide services to the Town Assessor and Town Attorney’s Office regarding real property values in support of Tax Law Article 7 proceedings (tax certiorari proceedings) and related matters.  In addition to Article 7 proceedings, the Town of Amherst will utilize selected appraisers to provide valuation services in support of the Town of Amherst’s acquisitions, eminent domain and sale of Town properties when needed.  Using this Request for Proposals (RFP), the Town Assessor intends to establish a pool of appraisers who will be available to provide these services as needed during the contract term. One or more individual/firms may be selected to provide services.

The awarded respondents must be New York State Certified Real Estate Appraisers with at least 10 years’ experience and working knowledge of the Town of Amherst market.  Copy of licenses are required with proposal response.
