202301 - Small Business Assistance Program

As detailed in the Advance Amherst Recovery Plan (the “Recovery Plan”), the Economic Development Department has been tasked with exploring opportunities to support small business growth through providing creative financing tools and incentives. Hence, the Town of Amherst is seeking to partner with a qualified vendor to provide an alternative lending program for small business (the “Program”) located in the Town of Amherst. The Program should assist small businesses in the Town with accessing capital in non-traditional ways. While a bond program is envisioned in the Recovery Plan, it is not the only form of non-traditional financing. Others formats will be accepted for proposal, and are encouraged.
