The work required under this Contract consists of furnishing all supervision, labor and personnel, material, equipment and ancillary support necessary to complete the work described within these specifications.
Demolition and disposal of the residential structures (Main house and accessory structures) and site debris located at 19 Cherry Place Lake Peekskill NY 10537, situate in the Town of Cortlandt (tax map ID 12.12-2-33). The structure has been deemed dangerous by the Town. The foundation shall be cut 1 foot from adjacent grade and entirely backfilled. Any dead trees identified and marked by the Town shall be cut and removed from the site. The site shall be left in a clean condition, any excavation backfilled and levelled with clean material, topsoil, hay and seed. Refer to Technical Specifications for the full scope of work.
The structure has been tested for lead and asbestos, see the attached report (Appendix B). Contractor shall provide quote in bid to perform abatement as required after reviewing. Contractor shall confirm initial findings but re-sampling building prior to demolition. If there is a difference in what was initially reported, work shall be halted and the Contract re-evaluated. The Contractor is fully responsible for removal and proper disposal of all waste in accordance with applicable Local, State and Federal codes. A local building permit for the demolition of the structures shall be filed. All fees associated with such shall be waived.
Quantities shown herein are for estimating purposes only and may be increased or decreased as directed by the Director of Technical Services. All materials and work shall conform to the Standard Specifications, Construction and Materials, NYS Department of Transportation dated May 1, 2008 or as amended to date with the Exception: THE USE OF RECYCLED MATERIALS SHALL BE PROHIBITED AS PART OF THIS CONTRACT.
