RFB-TE Contract 2016.05 - Demolition of Residential Structures - 88 Walnut Road

Summary of Specifications:
Demolition and disposal of the residential structures (two cottages) and site debris located at 88 Walnut Road, Lake Peekskill New York 10537, situate in the Town of Cortlandt (tax map id 12-12.2.43). The structures have been deemed dangerous by the Town. The foundation shall be cut 1 foot from adjacent grade and entirely backfilled. The site shall be left in a clean condition, any excavation backfilled and leveled with clean material, topsoil, hay and seed. Refer to Technical Specifications for the full scope of work. 

The structures have been tested for lead and asbestos (refer to Appendix B). Asbestos containing building material was not found and lead painted surfaces were found to be below the “action level”. The Contractor is fully responsible for removal and proper disposal of all waste in accordance with applicable Local, State and Federal codes. A local building permit for the demolition of the structures shall be filed. All fees associated with such shall be waived.
