Description

This is a federally aided contract subject to the approval of the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT). Whenever local or State requirements differ from federal requirements, the federal requirements shall prevail.

The work required under this Contract consists of furnishing all supervision, labor and personnel, material, equipment and ancillary support necessary to complete the work described within these specifications.

The project work consists of widening the approach lanes of Westbrook Drive to provide an exclusive left, through and right lanes. Associated with the widening is the realignment of the curb, removing existing and installing concrete sidewalk, drainage improvements, pavement markings and signage and traffic signal improvements.

All materials and work shall conform to the current Standard Specifications, Construction and Materials, NYS Department of Transportation (latest revised, as of letting date) for this project with the EXCEPTION: THE USE OF RECYCLED MATERIALS SHALL BE PROHIBITED AS PART OF THIS CONTRACT.

Attention Bidders - Due to the current Pandemic known as COVID-19, the bid opening procedure has been altered in the following manner.

Sealed bids may be mailed to the Town of Cortlandt as prescribed in advance of the bid date and time…Thursday January 7, 2021 at 10:00 am. All bids will be date and time stamped when received.
Sealed bids may be dropped off at Town Hall, 1 Heady Street, Cortlandt Manor, within the 1-hour preceding the posted bid opening time. All bids will be date and time stamped when received.
Sealed bids will be opened via a (Zoom) virtual meeting space. All bidders are welcomed to join. The Town requests that only one employee of each firm register for the opening.
The Town of Cortlandt will email all bidders a copy of the bid results shortly after opening.
