2022-11-17 - Community-Wide Survey Regarding the Use of Town Land

The Town of New Castle, New York is soliciting proposals from qualified consultants to conduct a community-wide survey regarding the use of the Town-owned land surrounding the Chappaqua Train Station. The selected consultant should have proven experience in professional polling/public opinion research services, along with expertise in municipal planning and land use. The selected consultant will develop an appropriate survey process and methodology to gauge citizen opinion regarding the best use(s) for the 23 acres of Town-owned land surrounding the Chappaqua Train Station, as well as receptiveness to making changes to its current surface parking configuration. The consultant will be responsible for creating and administering the survey after obtaining input on questions; tabulating the results and presenting a final product to Town officials in a written report; and delivery of a formal presentation. It is anticipated that residents, homeowners, and businesses throughout the Town limits will be surveyed.
