The Town of New Castle, Westchester County, New York (the "Town") is accepting proposals from qualified lawyers and law firms to serve as bond counsel for the Town on all of its’ General Obligation, Public Improvement, and other bond and note issues for the period July 1, 2017, through June 30, 2020, with a single two-year extension mutually agreed upon in writing by other parties.The Town's bond counsel will be expected to furnish legal services to the Town in all matters relating to the issuance of debt and the financing of public projects. Those services may include, but are not limited to, consultation, advice, and document drafting, assistance with the authorization of debt, assistance with the creation and formation of new districts (which may or may not involve the issuance of debt), and rendering legal opinions for bond and note issues of the Town. Bond counsel may be called upon to advise the Town on projects and issues whether or not bonds and/or notes are in issue.
