ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for the construction of the “Roger Mabie Water Treatment Plant SCADA System Upgrades” will be received by the Town Clerk at the mailing address PO Box 700, Port Ewen, NY 12466, or at the Town Hall address 1 Town Hall Way, Ulster Park, NY 12487 until 11:00 a.m. local time on Tuesday April 15th 2025 at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. Sealed Bids must have the outer envelope marked as “Town of Esopus, Port Ewen Water District, Roger Mabie Water Treatment Facility SCADA System Upgrades.”
The work consists of the replacement of the existing obsolete SCADA application and computer workstation, modification to the existing “Main Control Panel”, and furnish and installation of new “Process Control Panel” including, but not limited to, design, fabrication, and construction of a replacement PLC and SCADA system that meets the current control requirements of the Roger Mabie Water Treatment Plant with capacity for future instrumentation as part of another project.
Bids shall be on a lump sum basis as indicated in the Bid Form.

The attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements for ensuring that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bid received or to reject any or all Bids without explanation. The Owner is an exempt organization under the Tax Law and is exempt from payment of Sales and Compensating Use Taxes on materials which are to be incorporated into the project and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to the Owner prior to incorporation into the project, pursuant to the provisions of the Contract. These taxes are not to be included in the bid.
Bidders are required to comply with the prevailing wage rates as prescribed by the laws of the State of New York. Wage rates are included in the Project Manual as required by New York State law for the convenience of Bidders. Bidders shall confirm the wage rates prior to the Bid and assemble Bid prices accordingly.
A mandatory pre-Bid conference will be held at the Roger Mabie Water Treatment Plant at 131 River Road, Ulster Park, NY 12487 on Wednesday April 9th at 9:00 a.m.
