CORRIDOR IMPROVEMENTS MAIN STREET AND ANCILLARY STREETS SECTION 00020 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed bids for the furnishing of all labor and material necessary for the Corridor Improvements Main Street and Ancillary Streets will be received by the Village of Cold Spring, 85 Main Street, Cold Spring, New York 10516 until 10:00AM local time on Monday, February 22, 2016, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids will be received for the following Contract: The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of work shown on the plans and described in the specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: The base bid consists of construction of sidewalks and ADA compliant ramps on Main Street and full depth roadway reconstruction of Furnace Street. Bid Alternative 1 consists of full depth roadway reconstruction of the intersection of Mountain and Fishkill Avenues. This project is a Federal Aid Project and NYSDOT Standard Specifications, with particular emphasis on Section 100, must be followed by the successful bidder. No M/WBE requirements are included or allowed in this Federal Aid Project. The DBE goal for the project is 9.0% and the EEO goal is 22.6%. The female utilization goal for the project is 6.9%. The use of a NYS approved civil rights reporting software, Equitable Business Opportunities (EBO), is required. No residential or geographical restrictions will be in effect for this project. Federal requirements will take precedent over State and local requirements, unless state and local requirements are deemed to be more stringent. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 45 calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the base bid in accordance with the Information to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish construction performance and payment bonds in the full amount of the contract price.
