PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that sealed bids will be received by the Village Clerk of the
Village of Cold Spring, Putnam County, New York on August 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the
Village Offices located at 85 Main Street, Cold Spring, New York 10516, for the rebuilding of a
portion of a rubble stone retaining wall, approximately 6’ high by 170’ long, along Main Street
(Rt. 301).
PDF versions of the Bidding Documents may be obtained through the office of
Donald MacDonald, Architect, 10 B Street, Cold Spring, New York 10516 by email inquiry only
at donaldarch@icloud.com.
Hard copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Village Clerk. Bidders
may register their interest with the Architect via email: donaldarch@icloud.com.
All Bidders must be registered with the Architect. All registered Bidders will receive, via
electronic mail, any addenda and/or other pertinent information required for bidding purposes.
Proposals must be sealed in an envelope on which it is clearly stated “Bid for
Rebuilding of Stone Wall” and shall be addressed to Jeff Vidakovich, Village Clerk, 85
Main Street, Cold Spring, New York 10516, and received by him by mail prior to 2:00 p.m. on
August 26, 2021, or delivered to him personally at the Village Offices.
Bids will be publicly opened and read on August 26, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at the Village Office.
There will be no Pre-Bid Meeting. Exact Wall location is shown on the Bid Documents.
The Wall is on a public way and available for inspection at any time. Bidders are to refrain from
trespassing on the private property above the wall.
The award of bid pursuant to this notice is subject to appropriation of funds for this purpose
in accordance with the applicable provisions of the General Municipal Law. All bids must
meet the requirements of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York and all other applicable
statutes and have attached a statement of non-collusion. All documents submitted
in connection with this bid will become the property of the Village of Cold Spring and the
Village will not return bids or bid documents. The lowest qualified bidder meeting the
specifications will be awarded the bid. The Village of Cold Spring reserves the right to reject any
and all bids and to re-advertise for same.
No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 45 calendar days after Bid Due Date.
Performance, Labor and Materials Bonds, for 100% of the Contract will be required by
the successful bidder within 7 days after the signing of contracts.
