The Village of Croton-on-Hudson is the current owner of an approximately 4-acre piece of property located in the Town of Cortlandt, Westchester County, New York. The Village is interested in selling this property.
The Village will be accepting sealed offers for the property until close of business on July 12, 2019. The Village will evaluate the offers and will then proceed to enter into a Purchase Agreement with the chosen buyer, who will be chosen based upon an evaluation and comparison of all terms of the offers submitted.
The subject property is located at the westerly terminus and southeasterly side of Hollis Lane, in Croton-on-Hudson P.O., Town of Cortlandt, Westchester County, New York. Known as Hollis Lane, it is designated by the Town of Cortlandt as Section 67.08, Block 1, Lot 28.
The subject property is approximately 4.15± acres of residentially zoned, vacant land. The northernmost area of the site is located just south of the paved section of Hollis Lane. Topographically, the site slopes slightly upward in a southerly direction following the grade along Hollis Lane, which then becomes a paper street. Overall, the site gradually rises approximately 120 feet in a southerly direction to the southernmost corner at the rear of the lot. Mostly rectangular in configuration, the lot has adequate frontage along the paved and unpaved section of Hollis Lane. The site is moderately wooded and due to poor drainage wetlands are located in the northerly and westerly areas of the lot. A right of way, 25 feet wide, runs parallel to the westerly side of Hollis Lane and provides access to the adjacent lands owned by Con Edison and the Audubon Society.
The subject property is located within a district designated by the Town of Cortlandt as “R-80, Single-Family Residence”. Public utilities, including water, electric and telephone, are available to the site. A house constructed on the property will need to be serviced by a new septic system.
