NOTICE OF BID SPECIFICATION RELEASE
FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A BULKHEAD

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed proposals will be received by the Village of Port Chester, New York in the Office of the Village Clerk, 222 Grace Church Street, Port Chester, New York 10573, for qualified contractors to provide for the construction of a bulkhead.
The Village of Port Chester (VPC) will release a bid package on or about 1 April 2020, to solicit for removal disposal and replacement of 1,600± linear feet of existing vinyl bulkhead with 650 linear feet of reinforced concrete retaining wall, 800 linear feet of tied back steel sheeting, and 150 linear feet of soldier and sheet pile wall system.
Excavation and disposal of existing fill, revetment construction, and construction of 650 linear feet structural steel supported timber cantilever walkway, replacement of existing catch basins, frames and grates, milling and resurfacing of existing asphalt overlay, and areas of full depth asphalt pavement replacement.
This project will include a total M/WBE overall participation goal of 30%. Contractors will be required to submit a 5% bid bond with cost proposals and additional bonds including performance, payment and maintenance bonding capacity equal to the total contract award.
Minimum pre-qualifications for bidder will be included in specifications and failure to meet minimum requirements will cause bid to be rejected.
All information will be included in a complete solicitation via the Village of Port Chester website and Bidnet on or about 01 April 2020. Bids must be received by the Village Clerk no later than May 13, 2020 at 3:00 pm. All proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope and clearly marked:
“BID 2020-05 BID FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A BULKHEAD”
No proposer may withdraw his/her proposal within forty-five (45) days after the closing date/time for receipt of the proposal.
All interested parties are responsible to monitor those websites for any information or updates regarding requirements.
If it becomes necessary to revise any part of these documents, or if additional data or information is necessary to clarify any of its provisions, a written addendum will be issued.
The Village reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive any irregularities in the proposals received, select any proposal as the basis for negotiations and to make an award to the most qualified proposal that is in the best interest of the Village of Port Chester.
