Summary of Specifications:
The Village of Port Chester is presently soliciting proposals for the design of a Shallow Pinned Steel Sheet Pile Bulkhead along the Byram River. Proposals must be submitted by 4:00 p.m on Thursday, September `5, 2010, after which time and date no proposals will be accepted.
The response to the RFP for professional engineering services is required to contain the following information and should be limited to thirty (30) pages.
The scope of work shall be to design, prepare and provide complete construction drawings,technical specifications, contract bid documents, construction administration and inspection for a new shallow pinned steel sheet bulkhead to replace the existing 850 linear feet of bulkhead along the Byram River.
For preparation of the contract documents the respondent shall become familiar with the current condition of the bulkhead. The proposer shall include a detailed explanation of its understanding of the problem and of the work that needs to be done during th einformation gathering, in order to prepare for explaining the proposed design and construction process.
