Important Note to Vendors:
The undersigned, as bidder, declares that the only persons interested in this proposal, or the agreement proposed to be made, as principals, are as stated: that he/she has carefully examined the information pertaining thereto; and he/she proposes and agrees, if this proposal is accepted, that he/she will enter into an agreement with the Village of Scarsdale (Village) to pay the Village, in the manner and within the time prescribed for the following services. Quotations are requested in accordance with terms set forth herein.
The Village offers for sale to the highest responsible bidder approximately 1,400 grey, cobblestones. The Village reserves the right to sell all surplus cobblestones to one bidder or in another combination, whichever is in the best interest of the Village.
All cobblestones must be collected by the awardee(s) within 3 weeks of the award anouncement. The cobblestones are located at the Facilities Maintenance Department, 25 Ramsey Road, Scarsdale, NY 10583. You may view the stones at any time, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 3 PM by contacting Eric Gerringer, Deputy Superintendent of Public Works at (914) 760-0522.
The Vendor when picking the stone up fromt he Village will sign a Hold Harmless Clause as stated: "It is agreed that the vendor shall indemnify and save harmless the Village of Scarsdale, its officers, employees, and agents from and against all losses and claims, demands, payments, suits, actions, recoveries, and judgments of every nature and description brought or recovered, by reason of any act or omission of said contractor, his sub contractor, his agents or employees in the execution of the work or in the guarding of it or any failure to comply with any law, ordinance or regulation or by reason of the method or manner or doing the work provided in this proposal."
