Important Note to Vendors:
The Village of Scarsdale is seeking qualified firms to provide a quotation to rebuild/refurbish one new Crane Carrier Refuse Truck.
Currently the Village has 4 Crane Carrier IRL 28-T model refuse trucks that are no longer functional. All trucks have varying defects that have provided the trucks be taken out of service and no longer are part of the Village-wide fleet. The attached document describes the condition of each vehicle.
It is the intention of the Village to pay a qualified firm to refurbish and make operable 1 truck out of all the usable and functioning parts of the other three trucks. The total amount of the quote should include all labor costs, any new parts, as well as any/and all auxiliary costs associated with the refurbishment project. The company may keep all the trucks, and their associated parts, as scrap metal after the project is complete or return the vehicles to the Village, the disposal cost to be paid by Village. This cost should be reflected in the quoted price.
A detailed quote outlining the proposed hours, hourly rate and anticipated parts costs and auxiliary costs should accompany the quote in order for the Village to make a qualified award. The detailed quote can be faxed to Eric Gerringer, Deputy Superintendent of Public Works, at (914) 722-1103.
It is mandatory to review the vehicles prior to providing a quotation. The vehicles are located at the Sanitation Yard, 110 Secor Road, Scarsdale, NY 10583 during the hours of 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
