RFB-WC 29-12 - Cold Milling

Summary of Specifications:
SCOPE: 

The equipment and work covered under this contract include furnishing and delivering the following equipment to designated locations in Warren County, New York in accordance with the requirements contained herein. 

· Milling Machine · Water Tanker Truck 

All equipment furnished and work performed under this contract shall conform to applicable Standard Specifications (current edition) of the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT), except as noted herein or as directed by the Superintendent of Public Works or his designee. 

The Milling Machine furnished shall meet requirements of Section (§)490-2.01 of the Standard Specifications and have sufficient power, traction and gross weight to stably mill bituminous concrete pavement up to 8” in depth. A specification sheet from the manufacturer for the proposed machine to be used shall be submitted to the Superintendent of Public Works or his designee for review and approval as part of this bid.  The Bidder shall provide a Water Tanker Truck for dust suppression during milling operations as needed. Warren County retains the right to supply a Water Tanker Truck. 

Warren County shall provide equipment and staff to clean milled surface (vacuum trucks, street sweepers, power brooms, etc.) as needed. 

Warren County shall provide equipment and staff for removal of milled bituminous concrete pavement.
