Summary of Specifications:
The Warren County Self-Insurance Plan (hereinafter “WCSIP”) is a self-funded, self-administered workers’ compensation plan covering various municipalities, districts, volunteer fire and ambulance companies, a local community college, a public library, Cornell Cooperative Extension, certain civil defense volunteers, and certain municipal housing authorities within Warren County, New York. The WCSIP was established in 1981. Currently the WCSIP purchases Excess Workers’ Compensation and Employers Liability Specific Excess Insurance coverage. Pursuant to its purchasing policy, Warren County must periodically request proposals for Excess Workers’ Compensation and Employers Liability Specific Excess Insurance coverage. This Request for Proposals (RFP), therefore, seeks proposals from Insurance Agents/Brokers (hereinafter “Broker”) interested in providing Excess Workers’ Compensation and Employers Liability Specific Excess Insurance coverage for a specific period of time. The current Excess Insurance Broker Agreement expires on 12/31/2010. Since some insurance companies will quote only through one broker, proposers will be asked to submit insurers desired and Warren County will assign insurers to the various Brokers desiring to quote.
