Summary of Specifications:
It is the intent of these specifications to contract for moving services from several locations to the new Warren County Human Services Building. Services shall be performed according to a multi-phase schedule (approximately 3 Thursdays and Fridays) and shall include disassembly, moving and reassembly of approximately seventy-five (75) workstations (L-shaped, most with hutches), and moving of office chairs, side chairs, miscellaneous file cabinets, law library materials, miscellaneous boxed materials (files), and possibly break room appliances and furniture. The mover will not be responsible for labeling the boxed materials. They will be pre-labeled and will indicate their new location by department, area and office number in the new building. All personal items and technical equipment, (with the exception of 2 pieces of equipment in the Planning Department), will be moved by Warren County staff.
It is anticipated that at the pre-bid meeting, a Schedule A will be provided to vendors, which will include a list of furniture to be moved, together with corresponding drawings that indicate where furniture will be placed in the new building (blue shaded items). It is the movers responsibility to label each work station and all additional items (with the exception of boxes that are pre-labeled) with an appropriate tag as to placement in the new building.
A pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 10th at 10:00 a.m. All vendors interested in touring the departments to be moved shall meet Frank Morehouse, Superintendent of Buildings & Grounds in the lobby of the CNA Building, 333 Glen Street, Glens Falls, New York. A tour of the DSS Annex Building, Municipal Center (Planning Dept.) and Human Services Building will immediately follow.
Please note elevators will be available for use in all locations.
