Summary of Specifications:
It is the intent of these specifications that a Consultant provide Periodic Professional Multidiscipline Engineering Services on an individual “Letter of Authorization” basis in conjunction with the management of the Department’s Highway and Buildings and Grounds divisions (and may extend to other County Departments requiring services during the term of the contract). It is anticipated that the services provided by the Consultant will be primarily related to, but not be limited to, buildings and facilities and properties owned by the County. These services shall include, but not limited to electrical, mechanical, HVAC, structural and architectural design. Tasks will be identified by the County from time to time for which certain professional services shall be provided by the Consultant, and the County will pay the Consultant for services rendered in accordance with Schedule “B” of the Agreement. Professionals are cautioned that no minimum amount of services will be required under this contract, and that there is no minimum guaranteed amount of work hereunder. Payment shall be only for work requested by the County Superintendent of Public Works. Supplemental work or additional services to the tasks for which the Consultant has been retained, may be requested from the Consultant in the subsequent year for which the Consultant Agreement is in effect. The Consultant will be expected to perform services at the same rate(s) set forth in the proposal provided in response to this RFP.
