Summary of Specifications:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Undersigned, on behalf of the Warren County Board of Supervisors, will accept sealed proposals until no later than Tuesday March 8, 2005 at 2:00p.m. for WC 47-05 - REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR DESIGN SERVICES FOR COOLING TOWER REPLACEMENT in connection with the Warren County Department of Public Works. Warren County wishes to retain the services of a qualified engineer/architect to advise and assist with the design of a Cooling Tower Replacement at the Warren County Municipal Center, Lake George, New York. Lump sum proposals submitted for the Design Services shall involve evaluation of the Cooling Tower and Evaporative Loop at the Municipal Center on Route 9, Lake George. Said evaluation shall include, but not be limited to, immediate needs, future needs, energy conservation, air quality, and cost assessments. Proposals shall also include a complete hourly cost schedule of services and other expenses for resulting architectural and engineering services for design, pre-construction and construction, including preparation of bid documents and drawings and overseeing the resulting facility expansion project as determined by said needs assessment. Professionals services will be retained in accordance with the following award method: The “Two Envelope” method will be used where the criteria is stated in the RFP specifications and sent to professionals who may submit two separate sealed envelopes; one with the Proposal information, the other with the Price.
