**This project has been funded in part, by the Climate Smart Community Grant Program, Title 15 of the Environmental Protection Fund through the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.**
Warren County’s goal in requesting an Organics Management Plan is to obtain a set of recommended, interrelated strategies to meaningfully increase organics collection. One of the main priorities of the 2020 Solid Waste Management Plan was to identify strategies for improvements of the existing solid waste system, which includes reducing costs, becoming more efficient and environmentally responsible, as well as seeking opportunities regarding a composting facility within the County.
