Piggyback Contract

Description

The work to be performed under this Contract consists of furnishing labor, equipment and permits for
removal and disposal of dewatered sludge from the Yonkers Joint Water Resource Recovery Facility. The disposal sites for the material removed from YJWRRF under this Contract shall be stated at the time of the bid on Page P-35 of the Proposal Section of this Contract entitled "Identification of Disposal Sites". CONTRACTOR shall designate final disposal site/s for the sludge. The disposal sites shall be permitted by the appropriate regulatory agency having jurisdiction to accept sludge.
The Contract duration is for three (3) years. The Contract may be extended by mutual consent of the Contractor and the County of Westchester for one (1) additional three year term with all prices, terms and conditions remaining the same as the original contract.

Each proposal must be submitted with the documents, intact, on the authorized forms(s), and be accompanied by the Bid Bond and Consent of Surety - Proposal Page 10, attached to the outside of the sealed bid. Failure to submit in this manner will cause the bid to be rejected. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond for thirty (30%) percent of the total contract amount.
