ITB-DOTOP 04-15 - Taxi Pilot Program Services- City of Yonkers

Summary of Specifications:
The County, through its Department of Public Works and Transportation, currently funds and operates Bee-Line ParaTransit, which is its paratransit service legally mandated by the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”). This service provides mobility and access to disabled riders within Westchester County. Under the County (“Bee-Line Cab”), the County is seeking to provide taxis as an alternative ride source for eligible Bee-Line ParaTransit passengers with rides originating within the City of Yonkers (“City”) and ending at locations specified on the zone map included herein. The Taxi Operator (“Operator”) will provide County-subsidized taxicab trips for eligible Bee-Line ParaTransit passengers. The purpose of this bid solicitation is to obtain prices from Operators for these rides. The Operator must be authorized by the City of Yonkers to operate and provide taxicab services within the City and must currently provide taxicab services in the Yonkersarea. Taxi Service shall be offered during the hours that the County’s ParaTransit service is offered.
