Summary of Specifications:
The County, through its Office for the Disabled, currently funds and operates Bee-Line ParaTransit, which is its paratransit service legally mandated by the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”). This service provides mobility and access to disabled riders within Westchester County. Under the County Taxi Pilot Program (a/k/a “Bee-Line Cab”), the County is seeking to provide taxis as an alternative ride source for eligible Bee-Line ParaTransit passengers with rides originating within the City of New Rochelle (“City”) and ending no further than the destinations beyond the City limits specified in the New Rochelle taxi zone map included herein. The Taxi Operator (“Operator”) will provide County-subsidized taxicab trips for eligible Bee-Line ParaTransit passengers.
