Quotes Due

All quotes are due on 10/04/2022 by 4:00 P.M. for the purchase of Chemicals for Water Treatment.

Interested bidders must sign this Request for Quotes and send, via email, to Angela Stewart at astewart@jacksonvillenc.gov. The City of Jacksonville is not responsible for delays in delivery via email for any reason.

Quantities

A blanket purchase order will be issued to the awarded Vendor for multiple orders through JUNE 30, 2023. It is understood that the approximate quantities requested are solely for the purpose of facilitating the comparison of bids, and that the Vendor’s compensation will be based on actual quantities necessary to meet actual operating requirements during the contract period. No minimum quantity is guaranteed. No Demurrage or Surcharge fees to be applied. Sales tax is not to be included in bid, but for North Carolina Vendors, sales tax must appear as a separate line item on invoices.

Qualifications

If not currently a Vendor for The City of Jacksonville, the successful bidder, upon notice of award must be able to provide a Vendor Application and W-9 to the City of Jacksonville. The City is exempt from Federal Excise Tax. Our Federal Tax Identification Number is 56-6000232. The City is not exempt from NC State & County Sales Tax. Such taxes shall be shown as a separate item on all invoices.

Rights

The City of Jacksonville reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest. The City also reserves the right to award this bid by line item.

Inspection

All materials/supplies shall be the subject to inspection by the Plant Superintendent or his designee at time of delivery.

Quotes to be Retained

Quotes are to remain valid for thirty (30) days from the Bid Due Date.

Payment Terms and Purchase Order Terms and Conditions

The City agrees to pay all approved invoices Net Thirty (30) days from the date received and approved. The City does not agree to the payment of late charges, finance charges or surcharges assessed by the seller for any reason. By responding to this bid, bidder accepts and agrees to City of Jacksonville Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, which are incorporated into this bid solicitation by reference.
