The City of Jacksonville is requesting bids for the New River Oyster Highway Project
Phase II. A product description for this Request for Bids is located under the Bid Proposal Specifications Section on Page Five.
BIDS DUE:
The City of Jacksonville is currently closed to the public, however if you need to make
arrangements to drop off your bid please call (910)-938-5200, City Hall “front desk ” who
can time stamp your bid. Also if you to elect to drop off bid on the Bid due date please call
Pat Donovan-Brandenburg (910) 358-0558 in advance to notify of your intent to be given
access to the youth center.
Sealed Bids will be received by the City Clerk’s Office of the City of Jacksonville, North Carolina, until
4:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at which time they will be publicly
opened and read in the Jacksonville Youth Center, 804 New Bridge Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540.Bids may be mailed to the City Clerk’s Office, PO Box 128, Jacksonville, NC 28541. Any bids received later than the specified time will not be accepted or considered. The sealed bids must be clearly marked “Proposal for the New River Oyster Highway Phase II (Oyster Purchase & Deployment) Bid No. FY20-14” The City of Jacksonville, NC assumes no responsibility for unmarked or incorrectly marked bids.
Utilization of the Youth Center allows the City to still conduct a public bid opening in
a larger space to maintain the recommended social distancing as a result of COVID-
19. We are asking for those who want to attend the bid opening to limit the number
of people who will be physically in the building for everyone’s health and safety.
