The City of Jacksonville is soliciting proposals for a GPS Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) System (The System) for its fixed-route bus system.
Jacksonville Transit’s AVL and monitoring goals include a reliable, scalable system supporting a current fixed-route bus system consisting of four
(4) City Routes, one (1) Express Route and sixteen (16) vehicles viewable from both an Administrative Platform and a customer-facing app/interface
reflecting routes over a map with real time updates on the location of the buses.

Proposed RFP Schedule

RFP Release Date/Advertisement September 18, 2020
Deadline for Questions/Clarifications September 25, 2020
Proposals due to the City of Jacksonville October 09, 2020
Interview w/ selection team (if needed) October 12-15
Approval of Award by the City of Jacksonville November 2020
Commencement of Service January 2021
