Description of Project: Work to be performed under this Contract includes materials, equipment, labor and traffic control to pull and replace 170 Lft of concrete curb and gutter (7.87 CY) and mill 2” of existing asphalt pavement (1558 SY), apply tack coat and pave back 2” of 9.5C surface mix from curb to curb. Traffic control devices will be set-up and maintained in accordance to the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices for street and highway construction. Any work zone not properly set up will be cause for work stoppage by the City’s inspector.  Contractor is responsible for all installation of raisers for manhole / water valves, as needed. City forces will proof roll all areas getting repaved with asphalt prior to contractor placing new asphalt. This will allow City forces to repair any sub base issues prior to paving. City forces will be on site to repair any defects needing repairing expediently to not hinder the Contractors progress.
