BID GUARANTEE
Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the amount of $40,000.00. The Guarantee shall be in the form of either a Bid Bond or Cashier’s Check payable to The School District of Palm Beach County. All Bidders must be licensed pursuant to Chapter 489 Florida Statutes. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond. No Bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing for receipt of Bids for a period of 60 days. The Board or its designee reserves the right to waive minor technicalities and irregularities in all Bids.

BIDS SHOULD BE BASED UPON THE FOLLOWING DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The project consists of constructing 105 parking slots with a two-lane ingress and two-lane egress by removing the existing landscape island and relocating existing ADA stalls to allow ingress lanes to continue into the campus without a merge/pinch point.
Make space for a longer egress queue for two lanes at the exit. Install a new curbed median to remove U-turns at the entrance, relocate existing ADA parking stalls, provide an accessible path and replace existing gate for new roadway width. Also, Install LED lighting fixtures throughout the parking lot per the drawing plan.
Furthermore, the contractor should remove the tree within the site, milling and resurfacing, partially regrading and paving the area, and restriping the parking lot next to the golf course.
This is a fully turnkey project, and the Contractor shall supply all labor, material, supervision and equipment for this Project.
OWNERS ALLOWANCE ($200,000), available for future connection of existing school parking to golf course parking lot (plans under development).
All work shall comply with all building codes including, but not limited to the Florida Building Code 2020 and the State Requirements for Educational Facilities and NEC and the 2023 District Master Specification.

Contractor shall be responsible for the repair or replacement, including but not limited to: all surfaces, building elements, fencing, utilities, onsite and offsite elements, sidewalks, grasses, plantings, irrigation and hardscape disturbed by and/or damaged by construction activities.
Contractor to remove and/or modify chain link fencing, including adding gate(s) as required for site access. Openings in fence shall be secured at the endo of each workday. Fencing to be restored to equal or better condition upon the completion of the work.
