The City of East Providence is seeking the assistance of legal representation to advise and assist the City Council with legal questions, procedures and calculations related to potential eminent domain proceedings consistent with the requirement of P.L. 1965, Chapter 117.
Interested applicants should submit a firm resume; list of individual(s) who will be assigned to the matter; the hourly rate or proposed alternative fees arrangements along with a brief statement which summarizes any prior experience with state or municipal eminent domain actions.
The applicant needs to be a member in good standing with the Rhode Island Judiciary as well as have professional liability insurance of at least one million dollars.
Seven (7) copies of the proposal shall be submitted in one (1) sealed envelope to East Providence City Hall, Controllers Office, Room 103, Attn: Dawn Kenney, Procurement Specialist, 145 Taunton Ave., East Providence, RI 02914 no later than TUESDAY, DECEMBER 8, 2020 AT 12PM. The bids will be publicly recorded. Bids received with a time of 12:01 PM or later will be rejected. The envelope needs to be marked BID EP20/21-06.
