MIDD-025-003 - MIDD-025-003-PLA-Feasibility Study-Middle/High School Construction

The Town of Middletown is soliciting qualifications from qualified attorneys or firms to prepare
a Project Labor Agreement (PLA) Feasibility Report for constructing a new middle/high school
in compliance with applicable statutes and regulations. The report aims to determine whether a
PLA is appropriate for this project.This state-of-the-art facility will, serve approximately 1,100
students in grades 6 through 12, encompass approximately 200,000 square feet of flexible,
modern educational space include specialized areas for Career and Technical Education (CTE)
programs, an auditorium, gymnasiums, and athletic facilities be constructed with a focus on
sustainability and energy-efficient design to reduce operational costs. The new school will be
located at 1225 Aquidneck Avenue, adjacent to the existing Gaudet Middle School property.
Construction is expected to begin in Spring 2025, with the school opening in Fall 2027. This
project represents a significant investment in the community's future by providing Middletown
students an equitable, modern learning environment.
