The Town of Portsmouth is currently in the process of drafting a complete streets ordinance for the purpose of enhancing our town-owned roadway network to provide safe and convenient accommodation for walking, bicycling and access to public transportation that will encourage increased use of these modes of travel and meet the needs of all users of our roadways. In order to determine the applicability and efficacy of the draft ordinance, the Town of Portsmouth is seeking proposals from qualified planning consultants and individuals to conduct a feasibility study of all 110+ miles of town-owned and maintained roadways and to make industry-standard complete streets design element recommendations where needed.

Proposal packages must be sealed and clearly marked on the outside of the envelope with "RFP #P22-008 Consulting Services – Complete Streets Feasibility Study.”

Bidders are to submit one original plus three (4) copies of the proposal. One (1) electronic copy is required by CD, DVD, memory stick, etc.

Deliver your completed package to the Finance Office, Portsmouth Town Hall, 2200 East Main Road, Portsmouth, Rhode Island, 02871 until 1:00 p.m. local time on June 2, 2022. Proposals will be opened at that time in the Town Council Chambers and virtual on Zoom.
