PVD21-178 - DESIGN BUILDER FOR WINDMILL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL 110 PAUL ST, PROVIDENCE

The current Windmill Elementary school was mothballed in 2011 and until recently was utilized as a storage facility for PPSD. The City of Providence, PPSD and the Owner Project Manager (Downes) are preparing bridging documents that will provide the proposed DB with program guidance, which documents will be issued in a future addendum. Additionally, the City of Providence, PPSD and their consultant have procured the Environmental Engineer Consultant to prepare a hazardous material remediation plan. The Hazmat plan will be issued in a future addendum and will be available to be utilized by the awarded Design Builder. Furthermore, the City, PPSD and their consultant will procure a remediation contractor to commence general remediation.  The objective is for the remediation contractor to continue its services and coordinate with awarded Design Builder as required for demolition, MEP installation, etc.   The overall project budget, including all soft costs (A/E, OPM, Commissioning, HazMat, etc.) and hazmat remediation, is $30,500,000, which includes an estimated construction budget of $26.5 Million
