In accordance with Sec. 21-54 of the City’s Code of Ordinances, Sole Source Verification, an official notice is hereby given as follows

Estimated Amount of Procurement: The value of this contract is for $64,400.00
General Description of Goods or Services to be acquired: Occupational Customized Training Program for WIOA Participant(s).
This program is subject to federal regulations found in Title 20, Section 680 of the Code of Federal Regulations. These regulations state that customized training is provided under a contract with an employer or registered apprenticeship program sponsor in the public, private non-profit, or private sector. Through the customized training contract, occupational training is provided for the WIOA participant in exchange for the reimbursement.
Workforce Solutions of Providence/Cranston is awarded a yearly grant under the Workforce Investment Opportunity Act (WIOA) for training for workforce development. The WIOA regulations allow for training to be offered to participants for customized training.
Customized training is a structured internship/training program of WIOA participants to be conducted in partnership with various companies that are yet to be determined. During the actual contract period, the wages of the WIOA participant engaged in the structured training program are subsidized. Any reimbursement to the employer is subject to evaluation and monitoring by Workforce Solutions staff.
